We are always looking for opportunities to amplify 36.5 / A Durational Performance with the Sea in the world

Now that the nine live performances are complete, we are primarily looking for spaces to exhibit the large-scale video works, support in the publication of an archival book, and monetary donations to continue funding work towards both of these opportunities.

We are working to present a multimedia exhibition, which includes the full durational video works from each of the six key international locations (Netherlands, Bangladesh, Brazil, Kenya, Aotearoa-New Zealand, and New York City). We are currently reaching out to institutions committed to showing ambitious, cutting-edge, socially and environmentally conscious work that may be the right home for the project. Are you one? Reach out to us to connect!

We are also searching for partners who would like to support the publication of an archival, academic book, co-authored by Una Chaudhuri, NYU’s Dean for the Humanities. Over the course of nine years, this project has touched thousands of lives and pushed the boundaries of climate artwork –  Please reach out if you or someone you know can help create and publish an archive it is deserving of.

In addition, we are always open to connecting with

  • Institutions, organizations, and venues who are hosting smaller exhibitions looking to host the durational video works on a smaller scale, photography, documentation, and/or other archival materials from the project.
  • Events, organizations, and universities who would like to host a guest artist talk or lecture.
  • Press / Writers who want to publish journalistic, creative, or academic work on 36.5.
  • Art and Environmental partners who have other ideas about amplifying the work.
  • Funds to help the exhibitions and book happen on the scale we are imagining them.
  • Enthusiasm in any shape and form!

36.5’s community of support (funders, partners, sponsors, individuals) are locally minded with a global perspective. They care deeply about community, the environment and see the power of art to move people and ultimately shift public consciousness. They recognize that the climate crisis is here, and this project is essential more than ever.

If you’d like to donate to the project, thank you! We are so grateful!
